On June 20th, Luke Volt, Zach Britton, Gleyber Torres, J.A. Happ, Gio Urshela, Jonathon Hodler, Austin Romaine and bullpen coach Mark Harvey surprised two families and our volunteers by coming to the warehouse to help out. The players helped our clients select furniture and stayed to have lunch with them as well as our volunteers.
Their visit was part of HOPE Week. this is the 10th anniversary of HOPE week. Helping Others Persevere & Excel is an award-winning initiative that is a week-long community program that brings to light remarkable stories intended to inspire individuals into action in their own communities.
We are very grateful to the New York Yankees for honoring Furniture Sharehouse in this special and unique way.
