On a rainy Saturday, April 29th, 2023, Furniture Sharehouse held its Second Annual Rivertowns Furniture Drive at John Paulding School in Tarrytown.
In spite of the awful weather, we had 20 donors, including a terrific surprise — a U-Haul truck full of great furniture that filled a third of our truck!
We also had a great volunteer group of Sleepy Hollow high school students, who did homework and played card games in between helping drive-up donors unload their furniture. Special thanks to Anthony Baxter, Assistant Principal of Sleepy Hollow High School, for coordinating the student volunteers and location services.
This Drive, and last year’s inaugural Drive, were organized by our Board Member, Meg Callaci, who is a realtor with Corcoran Legends Realty Office in Tarrytown, which generously sponsored the Drive.
Special thanks Meg for organizing the entire event, to Manager Marcene Hedayati and broker Phyllis Lerner for their assistance, and to Corcoran Legends Realty Tarrytown for their financial and event support with paid advertising, social media, school flyers, back packs and more!
