A big thank-you to the Village of Tuckahoe Department of Public Works (DPW) for welcoming Furniture Sharehouse to its Annual Fall DPW Open House on Saturday, October 17!
We were delighted to spend the afternoon connecting with community members, sharing information about Furniture Sharehouse, and celebrating a wonderful partnership that has been making a difference since 2013.
For more than a decade, Tuckahoe DPW has generously hosted a Furniture Sharehouse donation collection bin at its DPW yard, making it convenient for local residents to donate items that help furnish homes for neighbors in need.

Franco DiMarco, Superintendent of DPW, and Joe Tavolilla, General Foreman, shared that the collection bin continues to be popular with residents looking for a convenient way to donate to Furniture Sharehouse.
They also take great care to monitor the bin and ensure that donated items meet our donation guidelines, helping us make the most of every contribution.
Thank you, Tuckahoe DPW! We are incredibly grateful for your generosity, dedication, and more than a decade of partnership in helping Furniture Sharehouse provide comfort, stability, and hope to families in our community.
Together, we’re turning donated furniture into furnished homes!
